Funeral prayers of MQM workers offered in Karachi

Staff Report KARACHI: Funeral prayers of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) workers, who were killed yesterday, were offered here on Saturday. According to reports, a large number of the people, including family members and party workers, attended the funeral. Yesterday, two workers of the MQM, identified as Hamid and Khalid, were targeted outside a mosque in Nazimabad area. The gunmen riding motorbikes fired shots at Hamid and Khalid when came out of the mosque offering juma prayer. “The incident seems to be an act of target-killing,” a police officer said. Eyewitnesses said police officials were also on-duty when the assailants targeted MQM workers outside the mosque. SAMAA
